Recycling Collection Stations near Bethany Beach
Recycling is voluntary in the State of Delaware and managed by the Delaware Solid Waste Authority (DSWA). The DSWA provides curbside pickup of recyclables for a fee and manages many drop off points throughout the State of Delaware.
Drop off points near Bethany Beach
The site on Rt. 26 on Ocean View closed in May of 2008 at the request of the property owner.
Fresh Pond Collection Station West side of Rt 1 about a half mile north of town.
Just north of Fred Hudson Road and across from Ocean Village.
Omar Collection Station. 33086 Burton Farm Road.
West on Rt. 26 for 4 miles.
Turn left on Roxanna Road (Rt. 17) at Hocker’s grocery store.
South on Roxanna (Rt. 17) for 2 miles and turn right on Powell Farm Rd.
West on Powell Farm Rd for 0.5 miles and turn left on Burton Farm Rd.
South on Burton Farm Rd for 1.5 miles. The drop-off center is on the left.
Indian River Inlet. 39415 Inlet Road.
North on Coastal Hwy (Rt. 1) toward Rehoboth Beach for approximately 10 miles.
After crossing over the Indian River Bridge make a left following signs for the Indian River Marina. The recycling bins are in the marina parking lot about half a mile from the highway.
The following items do not need to be separated and may be placed together in the large collection bins.

These two collection stations also accept household batteries, used motor oil, oil filters, and textiles in separate bins. The Omar station accepts electronic goods as well.
