The Bethany Beach Cultural & Historical Affairs Committee invites you to attend this special presentation by Tom Ryan and reenactors Judy Dixon and Laura Wilson.
Two prominent women who lived in the Civil War capitals of Washington, DC and Richmond, Virginia engaged in espionage in support of the cause to which they were dedicated. Van Lew spied for the North, and Greenhow was a Southern operative. Both women were spymasters; each heading up a spy ring. Their methods and collaborators as well as their successes and failures will be discussed. We will step back into history, as Van Lew and Greenhow will make an appearance at this presentation to relate their experiences.
Admission is free. Refreshments will be served.
